1. Can I apply as staff for just Hidden Treasures?
Yes you can for a part time volunteer but not for full time. For full time staff you have to apply with another team and request a focus on Hidden Treasures.
2. Do I need experience with homeless people?
No! All are welcome and you will quickly gain experience
3. Is this a dangerous ministry?
Not really! Most times are very chill and you work always in a team with an experienced leader to help if a problem arises
About Us
Our ministry is focused on building relationships with the homeless community of Amsterdam. We do this through handing out coffee tea, hot chocolate and food packets. Getting to know them as people and really seeing them as children of God. Our heart is that they experience the love of Jesus through us, in deep conversations or a simple smile.
" For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’"

Loving the homeless from outside our front door
Hidden treasures runs two nights a week on Monday and Friday. We hand out hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and food packets while also building relationships, having conversations and praying for them if the opportunity arises. Through consistent connection we have made great friendships and have been able to speak into many people's lives over the years.
We come together as a team for preparation beforehand and then pray before we go out. We are blessed to have a space at the front of our building where the homeless community already gathers so we literally just stand at our doorstep and bless them.
