DTS Equip will challenge you in your own spiritual formation and your leadership skills as well as the practicalities of running a DTS program through lectures, 1-1s, small groups, reading assignments, group projects and outreach activities. You will have the opportunity to learn from speakers & staff who have years of experience of working with DTSs and from the other participants in the program. If you are looking for time to focus on your own discipleship and to learn more about how to staff/lead DTSs, DTS Equip is for you!
What kind of topics are covered?
Being a disciple, identity, implicational thinking, foundations of YWAM & DTS, DTS curriculum, small groups, 1-1s, leading the classroom, leadership styles, discipling people from difficult backgrounds, preparing & leading outreaches, crisis management, cross-cultural communication, culture shock, debrief, re-entry and more!
We aim to model every component of a DTS program within DTS Equip, so if it’s a requirement of DTS expect to see it here. In addition, there is set reading each week, group projects and short papers.
